🔑Access to the OASIIS nomination pack

Happy International Workers’ Day! A day that is historically recognised around the world as a celebration of the struggles and achievements of workers and the labour movement. At OASIIS, we recognise and acknowledge that it has been a tough year for information integrity defenders in APAC too. We want to make sure that the effort is still moving strong and going on, even behind the scenes, although less flashy, but steadfastly resolute.

In light of that, we are pleased to announce the commencement of the one-month nomination period for the OASIIS Advisory Council. Details are provided below:

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic planning of the regional network;

  2. Regional advocacy by representing the interests of their respective sub-regions (Central Asia, East Asia, Oceania, South Asia, and Southeast Asia);

  3. Governance development by contributing to any amendments to the constitution or standards that will govern the network’s future activities; and

  4. Resource mobilisation by assisting in identifying potential partnerships or funding opportunities to sustain the network.

Term length: At least 12 months, or a maximum of 36 months (3 years)

Commitments: Fortnightly virtual meeting, with an estimated 3 to 5 hours per month for committee tasks, including reviewing documents and email correspondence

After the month is up, OASIIS will review the nominations and we will head into the election period. We hope to announce a new advisory council before the start of GlobalFact 2026 in Vilnius this year.
